July 2026 brought significant movement in Peel Region’s real estate market, with the average home price settling at $910,007—a 5.8% drop from the previous month and a 6.4% dip year-over-year. Detached homes saw an even sharper decline, down 8.4% monthly and 11.9% annually. While sales activity remained stable, active listings actually decreased by 14.7%. Yet, it’s worth noting that, over the longer term, prices have still climbed 47.3% since 2016. Having guided clients through every kind of market condition for over two decades, I know how important it is to see the full picture—especially for those considering buying, selling, or investing in the GTA. Shifts like these are a reminder that real estate is always evolving, and experience with both residential and investment properties can help you make informed choices no matter where the market stands.
